FREE TRIAL FAQ

Do I need any experience to start?

Not at all. Most students start with zero background. We teach beginner-friendly Jiu-Jitsu step-by-step so you can learn at your own pace.

Is this No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu or traditional Gi Jiu-Jitsu?

Ferox focuses on No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu. You do not need a traditional gi. Most students wear athletic shorts and a T-shirt or rash guard.

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your first trial class is free. You can try a class, meet the coach, and see if Ferox is the right fit before joining.

What if I’m out of shape or nervous to start?

That’s normal. You do not need to be in shape before starting. Jiu-Jitsu will help you build fitness, confidence, and skill over time.

Do I need to spar on my first day?

No. Rolling, or sparring, is always optional. Your first class is focused on learning the basics in a safe, controlled environment.

How old do I need to be to join?

Ferox Jiu-Jitsu is an adults-only program for ages 18 and up. We do not offer kids classes.

How does the free trial work?

Fill out the form, choose a class time, and come in for your first class. We recommend showing up about 5 minutes early so we can introduce you to the gym.
